But none of them could figure out how to fix the engine, so they hired an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young man…!
He was carrying a large tool bag with him.. And when he arrived – he started to work, and checked the engine carefully from top to bottom..!
And there were two of the ship’s owners with him watching him..hoping he would know what to do to fix the engine,
After the examination was completed, the old man went to his bag and took out a small hammer, and quietly knocked on part of the engine.. Immediately the engine came back to life!!! Carefully he put the hammer back in place and said: Engine repaired!
A week later, the owners of the ship received the repair bill from the old man, and it was ten thousand dollars!
The ship’s owners cheered, he hardly did anything..
So they wrote the old man a note saying please send us an itemized invoice!!!
The man sent the invoice as follows:
Hammer hammer $2.00
Find out where to knock $9998.00
